HJ Security completed a major CCTV surveillance system upgrade at an industrial facility in Kuching, Sarawak. This project replaced an outdated analogue system with a modern Hikvision IP camera network capable of handling the demanding requirements of an active industrial environment.
Industrial CCTV Upgrade Requirements
Industrial sites present unique surveillance challenges that consumer-grade cameras cannot handle. Dust, heat, vibration, harsh chemicals, and the need for wide-area coverage at height all require specifically designed industrial-grade camera systems.
Challenges Addressed
Large Area Coverage
Industrial facilities typically cover thousands of square metres. We used a combination of PTZ speed dome cameras and high-resolution wide-angle cameras to achieve complete coverage with minimal camera count.
Harsh Environment
All cameras selected with IP66 or IP67 weatherproof rating and IK10 vandal-resistant housing to withstand the industrial environment conditions.
After-Hours Perimeter Security
AI human detection configured on all perimeter cameras with immediate mobile alerts to security personnel when intrusion is detected outside operating hours.
High-Resolution Evidence Quality
4K cameras at critical areas including entrance gates, loading docks and cash handling zones provide clear footage for incident investigation.
