Project Overview
The homeowner had a striking red powder-coated steel sliding gate that required automation. HJ Security's installation was carried out with care to ensure the automation components complemented the gate's distinctive appearance.
Technical Process
Gate Weight Assessment
The solid red steel gate panel was weighed to determine the appropriate motor rating. Powder-coated steel gates have specific weight characteristics that must be accounted for in motor selection to ensure long-term reliability.
Rack Installation
A steel drive rack was welded to the bottom of the gate at the correct position to mesh with the motor drive pinion. The rack was positioned and aligned with precision to ensure smooth, binding-free gate travel.
Motor Mounting
The motor was mounted on a fabricated steel bracket anchored securely to the gate post foundation, positioned to provide optimal rack engagement.
