Project Overview
The homeowner had a standard residential swing gate that required automation. After assessing the gate weight, hinge position, and available wall space for motor mounting, HJ Security recommended and installed an appropriate arm motor system for smooth, reliable daily operation.
Installation Process
Site Assessment
We measured the gate leaf, calculated weight, assessed hinge placement and wall construction before selecting the appropriate motor model and mounting approach for optimal performance.
Motor Bracket Installation
A heavy-duty steel motor bracket was fabricated and welded to the gate post, providing a secure mounting point that handles the mechanical forces of daily gate operation without movement or loosening.
Arm Connection
The motor arm was connected to the gate leaf at the optimal attachment point, ensuring smooth arc of travel and correct mechanical advantage for effortless gate movement.
Programming and Testing
Motor limits programmed precisely for smooth start, run, and stop without slamming. Remote controls programmed and full safety testing completed before handover.
