The Challenge
The Podium is a major commercial development in Kuching requiring comprehensive security coverage across multiple floors, car parks, retail areas, lobbies and perimeter. The project demanded over 400 cameras managed from a centralised monitoring room, plus multi-door access control, high-speed fiber optic network backbone and building-wide SMATV television distribution — all delivered by a single contractor to ensure seamless integration.
Our Solution
CCTV Surveillance — 400+ Cameras
We designed and installed over 400 Hikvision IP cameras including fixed domes for indoor areas, bullet cameras for perimeter, and PTZ speed domes for car parks and large open areas. All cameras connected via structured Cat6 cabling to centralised NVR cluster with redundant storage.
Fiber Optic Backbone
Multi-floor fiber optic backbone infrastructure providing gigabit connectivity between floors, ensuring all 400+ cameras transmit high-definition video without bandwidth bottleneck. Professional fiber splicing and termination with OTDR testing certification.
Door Access Control
Multi-door networked access control system managing restricted areas across the development. Centralised management software enabling building management to control all access points from one dashboard.
SMATV Distribution
Building-wide SMATV television distribution system delivering satellite and local TV channels to all units through the building's coaxial infrastructure.
