HJ Security recently completed an Orvibo smart home installation for a homeowner in Kuching, Sarawak. This project transformed a conventional home into a smart, connected living space with app-controlled lighting, digital door lock and home automation features.
About This Smart Home Project
The homeowner wanted a practical smart home upgrade that would improve daily convenience without requiring extensive renovation. Orvibo's no-rewiring smart switches and Zigbee-based ecosystem made it possible to retrofit smart functionality into an existing home with minimal disruption.
Products Installed
Orvibo Smart Switches
Orvibo Zigbee smart wall switches replaced the existing conventional switches throughout the home. These switches look identical to standard wall switches but connect wirelessly to the Orvibo Hub, enabling app and voice control of all connected lights.
Digital Door Lock
An Orvibo smart digital door lock was installed at the main entrance, providing multiple access methods including fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card and mobile app unlock – all while logging every entry for security monitoring.
Smart Home Hub (Gateway)
The Orvibo SmartHome Hub connects all Zigbee devices to the home internet router, enabling remote control via the Orvibo app from anywhere in the world.
Smart Automation Configured
Welcome Home Scene
When the homeowner unlocks the front door, a scene automatically turns on the hallway and living room lights at a comfortable brightness level.
Bedtime Scene
A single tap on a bedside switch or voice command turns off all lights throughout the home simultaneously – no more walking from room to room.
Away Mode
When leaving home, Away Mode activates automatically to ensure all lights are off and provides a security simulation mode that randomly turns lights on and off to deter burglars.
